Services
Integrative range of services in Psychosomatic Medicine, Psychotherapy and TCM
In my practice, I offer an integrative range of services combining Psychosomatic Medicine, Psychotherapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The goal is holistic medical care that equally considers physical complaints, emotional burdens and individual life circumstances, based on the biopsychosocial model of illness.
Psychosomatic Medicine
Holistic medical treatment
Psychosomatic Medicine deals with conditions and complaints where physical symptoms and emotional burdens are closely connected and mutually influence each other. These complaints often involve complex interactions between stress, emotional factors, life history and physical processes.
In my psychosomatic work, the aim is to medically classify these connections, take them seriously and understand them together with you. The treatment aims to address both physical and emotional aspects and to develop individually appropriate therapeutic steps.
Typical reasons for psychosomatic treatment:
- Persistent physical complaints without sufficient organic cause
- Chronic pain
- Gastrointestinal complaints
- Sleep disorders
- Support and coping with chronic illnesses
Psychosomatic treatment does not replace necessary somatic evaluation, but complements it with a holistic perspective.
Psychotherapy
For stress, exhaustion and emotional crises
My psychotherapeutic support is directed at people who suffer from emotional burdens or for whom psychological factors significantly contribute to the development or maintenance of complaints. As a physician for Psychosomatic Medicine, I combine medical expertise with psychotherapeutic experience.
Reasons for treatment:
- Depression
- Burnout and exhaustion
- Sleep disorders
- Eating disorders
- Somatoform and functional disorders
- Crisis and conflict situations
- Psychological burden from chronic illness
- and others
In therapy, I combine cognitive behavioral approaches with psychodynamic and systemic elements (e.g., through constellation work, analysis of unconscious aspects). This integrative approach makes it possible to address both current burdens and underlying patterns, inner conflicts and relational experiences.
I offer individual therapy as well as - depending on availability and setting - group therapy (from 2027).
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Holistic complement to treatment
Traditional Chinese Medicine complements my medical-psychotherapeutic work with an ancient holistic approach. It views the person as a unity of body, mind and life energy and can be particularly meaningful for functional complaints and stress-associated symptoms.
Acupuncture
Through the targeted placement of needles at specific points, the energy flow in the body is regulated and inner balance supported. Acupuncture can be used for stress symptoms, sleep disorders, inner restlessness or functional complaints.
Chinese Herbal Therapy
Chinese herbal therapy is based on complex formulas that are tailored to the individual constitution and symptoms. Application occurs exclusively within the framework of a medical TCM diagnosis.
Nutrition and Lifestyle Counseling
The nutritional teachings of TCM understand food as an important factor for health and balance. The counseling is tailored to your individual constitution and offers practical, everyday-oriented guidance.
TCM Diagnostics
TCM diagnostics includes a comprehensive medical history, tongue and pulse diagnosis. It serves to identify energetic imbalances and to tailor treatment individually.
